Nelson Algren’s last Chicago home on the third floor.

Many important writers, the newspaper of the Great Migration, and an “adult” publisher have at one time called Chicago home.

The map includes places of birth, permanent or temporary homes, schools, and locales related to Chicago’s print history.  Some high brow, some not.  While the subjects have been limited to the past, the structures remain.

Each marker has the date of its association with the subject, visiting information (public or private), and a link to more information.

Find this map with other points of interest on The Map  or contact me for a guided bike tour that includes these locations.
