The map includes 25+ locations mentioned in Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle . I have used the expanded 2003 edition which more or less reflects the story from the book’s publication as a serial in the Socialist newspaper Appeal to Reason in 1905. Being a third longer than the official edition, I choose this edition because it simply had more story to map. I have noted the name changes between editions when applicable.

Each marker has a text excerpt referencing the location. Many have either contemporary pictures from me or historical ones for those real life locations that no longer exist.
